I wanted to share a news segment I was highlighted on for my local News Channel 13 station.  I’m excited as they mentioned my blog and my involvement in Iowa’s local food movement.  I’m so proud to be a part of this growing movement and to support such great family farmers!  We truly have, in my biased opinion, some of the best farmers committed to organic, hormone free, and sustainable food!  Matt Russell, organizer for Buy Fresh Buy Local and owner of  Coyote Run Farm is also featured.  If you remember, I spent time on their farm this year helping process chickens!  Coyote Run Farm has provided me and my family with organic produce, free range chicken eggs, grass fed beef and soup bones!  If you’re from Iowa and reading my blog for the first time, please be sure to stop by the local food movement tab at the top of the page for resources on where to buy local food.  Thanks readers for shedding some spotlight on A Little Bit of Spain in Iowa.  Let me know how I did ;)

P.S. Aren’t my chickens cute ;)

I haven't shopped at Walmart in years. I have heard too many things about what they do to get those low low prices. I also prefer to support my local small businesses. I know you buy some of your food there. You've mentioned Walmart has a good organic section. How do you feel about shopping at Walmart? I really want to know. Perhaps it could be a blog post?
