It’s Simple Lives Thursday! My favorite day of the week where you share your tips and recipes for living a simple life. Below you’ll find the linky to add your post to.

Please read and follow the Simple Lives Thursday bloghop rules

1. If linking real, traditional and simple recipes, please make sure all ingredients used are whole. Such as whole grains, vegetables, legumes, meats, even sugar. In order to keep the integrity of “nourishing” food, we will delete any recipes that utilize processed, boxed foods. We are definitely not going to be ingredient policeman, however, please note that this is a hop hosted by advocates of the real, local and sustainable food movements.

2. Please link your posts back to one of the hosting blogs. This is a common blog hop courtesy. This link helps build the Simple Lives Thursday community by sending your readers to all of the other participants posts. We all end up sharing and learning from each other.

Featured Posts - The hosts will be choosing five posts from the previous SLT to highlight each week. Those chosen will be promoted and linked on all five host blogs. As a highlighted post you will also have the chance to win in special giveaways that we will be starting soon — another great reason to link up and share all that you do to live a simple and intentional life!

Featured Posts from Last Week’s Submissions

The posts from last week that really caught our eyes are… (thanks everyone for the great submissions, as always!)

This pesto made from radish leaves is vividly green and beautiful, and frugal because it uses the part we almost always discard.

Great tips on how to fight the good fight against these annoying (and often painful) pests!

3. Make Your Own Sea Salt in 4 Easy Steps by Just Making Noise.
If you live near the coast (in an un-radioactive area), this is a great, frugal way to making your own sea salt.

4. Frozen Vegetables and Food Preservation Choices by An Austin Homestead.
“There are several options for storing your produce for the next season, and they’re not all created equal or all suited for every crop.”

5. Farmin’ and Cryin’ by Diary of an Outlaw Farmer.
This young lady had us crying!

If you’re into homeopathy, ways to save $ by conserving energy or other ways to live frugally… we want to know about it! 5. Diana,

Hi! Thanks for hosting! I’m sharing an EASY chocolate mousse & the love story of how I met my hubby. The mousse is made without sugar except what is in the chocolate you use. Only 4 ingredients!

Hubby & I met in the Navy back during the first Gulf War & had rough seas to navigate through a long distance romance. It was a FUN story to tell…but I’m glad to be back to regular scheduled programing this week with “food” posts. :)

    Have a GREAT weekend!!

Thanks for hosting, Diane. Today I shared a post on tomatoes – seed starting, transplanting and troubleshooting. We’ve had a slow start to the gardening season because of weather (too wet and cold), plus my cats knocked over a whole flat of seedlings. Still, I’m hoping to make some major progress over the next couple of weeks.

I’m back! I decided to add on my latest LWM post, too, which is about pesticide laced crops being used for food. Did you know that Bt “enhanced” crops are legally classified as pesticides, not crops? Yuck!

Hi Diana, howdy girl? Hope your kids are all well. Your blog looks as wonderful as ever. Just make a link! Btw, radish leaves is the best food source to reduce high blood pressure and so is sweet potato leaves. Other than that, drinking water which is boiling with young guava leaves may also help. No more extra dossage of drugs, after taking all those pills everyday.:o) Hope you’re having a wonderful day, sweetie.
    Blessings, Kristy
