Lord, Please Remember Your Children

My heart is grieving.

Trying to understand why.

Realizing there may never be an answer.

Knowing that time is drawing near.

Lord, please remember your children,

and forgive us our wicked ways.

Father, come.

In light of Friday’s tragedy, my deepest condolences go to the families and friends of the children and teachers of Sandy Hook elementary.  In this difficult time, I’m only comforted by knowing that the sweet children that lost their lives that day, in their innocence, are resting in the arms of our Savior.

Just like in the times of Isaiah, we’re living in a wicked world.  As the Israelites awaited His first advent, I need to remember to set my eyes upon God as he prepares the way for His second advent.

One day, there will be peace.

Lord, bring us that day soon so that no other child should have to suffer for the evil in this world.

Please God, don’t leave us nor forsake us.

Well said. It is the only solace that I can find as well. My heart aches.
